What AI can do for this task

Extract information from PDF files sent directly to the model as files. Direct file input does not guarantee that every PDF is accepted (scanned, encrypted, very large or unusual files). This page checks direct file input as listed in the catalog. Through OpenRouter, a PDF can also reach a model without direct file input: a separate parser extracts its content first. That is a different route, with its own cost, privacy and extraction fidelity, and it is not evaluated here.
